1,000 Gallons of Gas Giveaway this Friday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors return to the Mercy & Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena for back-to-back home games on Friday and Saturday against the Alaska Aces. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m., both nights.
Friday vs. Alaska Aces:
On Friday night, the Condors will try to extend their two-game home winning streak when they take on the Alaska Aces for the 1,000 Gallons of Gas Giveaway, sponsored by My 45 and KUZZ 107.9. Forty lucky fans will win 20 gallons of gas each, while one grand prize winner will win 200 gallons of gas. Fans will receive an entry form after passing through the turnstiles and can submit them at entry tables on the concourse. The names of the 40 winners of the 20 gallons will be announced during the second period and the grand prize winner will drawn on the ice during the second intermission. Combined, that's enough gas to drive around the circumference of the entire earth and still have an estimated 100 gallons left!
The Kern County Department of Public Health will give out free flu vaccinations, also known as shots, to the first 200 fans who request them on the concourse near the front entrance.
The Kern Trophies Player of the Month will be awarded during the first intermission at center ice Friday night. Also, during the intermission, the Freedom Middle School Dance Team will perform at center ice.
Please note the opponent for this game was originally scheduled to be Phoenix. All tickets for the game stating Phoenix as the opponent will be honored.
Saturday vs. Alaska:
On Saturday night, the Condors meet the Aces for Zamboni Pillow Giveaway Night. The first 2,000 fans, 5-and-older, will receive a plush pillow that looks like the Condors Zamboni, courtesy of Pirate 93.1 and Goodwill Industries. You may not ever be able to drive the Zamboni, but now you can cuddle with one whenever you would like. This is a one-of-a-kind giveaway, as the Condors are the first team to giveaway a Zamboni pillow. Not only will this become a unique piece of décor, but it's sure to be a great conversation piece as well.
Saturday night is also a Bright House Networks, Bakersfield Californian, and Wells Fargo Condors Kids Club Night. Members of the Kids Club receive free admission to the game.
During Saturday's first intermission, the Bakersfield Blades will be performing figure skating routines. Also, be prepared for the Rogers Jewelry Kiss Cam - the best smooch wins a pair of pearl earrings.
During the second intermission both Friday and Saturday, fans can win up to $300 during Chuck-A-Puck!
Also, during the second intermission both nights, one lucky fan will participate in the Shoot the Puck, Win the Truck contest, for the Condors one-of-a-kind 2008 Chevy Silverado, complete with Condors customizations on the interior and exterior, courtesy of 3-Way Chevrolet. If it is not won during the intermission one fan, drawn at random, will win the truck if a Condors player scores a hat trick in the third period. Mike Wirll came close to giving a fan that truck last Sunday when he scored two goals during the third period.
On Friday night, Matt Pope and Martin Frechette will be at the Bakersfield Marriott Autograph Booth, and Saturday night's autograph booth will feature Mike Wirll and Tom Morrow. The autograph booth is located on the arena concourse behind section 108. The players will arrive at the booth approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game to meet fans and sign autographs.

Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 322- 2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location. The Rabobank Arena Box Office will be open Monday - Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended hours on game days.
