Fort Wayne, IN (January 2, 2009)-The NBA D-League's Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today that they have acquired rookie forward Taj McCullough. McCullough was the 2nd round draft pick of the Erie BayHawks after being a final cut from the Washington Wizards training camp. He was waived on December 27 from Erie after averaging 6.5 points in 8 games for the BayHawks.
The Mad Ants waived Sean Sonderleiter to make room for McCullough on the ten man roster. Sonderleiter played in 7 games for the Mad Ants and averaged 4.4 points per game.
McCullough will join the Ants' roster for this weekend's games, January 3rd and 4th, at home against the Iowa Energy.
