West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies scored two third period goals to defeat the Stockton Thunder 4-2 Friday night at the E-Center.

The Grizzlies led 2-1 after one period with goals from Andy Sertich and Ryan Kinasewich in his first E-Center game since suffering an injury November 8.

Stockton tied the game in the second with a power-play goal.

The Grizzlies scored two goals in 68 seconds in the third to break the tie. 5:37 into the third, Tim Maxwell clanged a puck off the post from the near point and in to give Utah a 3-2 lead. Utah was then awarded a power-play and scored 26 seconds into that to cap the scoring on a Vladimir Nikiforov redirection for his sixth goal of the year.

Utah went 2-3 on the power-play in the game and Mike Mole stopped 38 of 40 shots in his 20th-straight start.

James Sixsmith added three assists in the game for Utah, James Sanford had two helpers.
