
Missions to Host San Diego Padres at Wolff Stadium

San Antonio Missions News Release
Missions President, Burl Yarbrough, announced today that the San Antonio Missions will host the San Diego Padres in an exhibition game on April 2nd at Wolff Stadium at 7:05 pm.
The exhibition game will mark the third time that Wolff Stadium has hosted a Major League Exhibition game and the first since 2001. It will also be the first chance for the fans in San Antonio to be able to see the some of the Missions former stars in a Padres uniform, like 2007 Texas League Player of the Year Chase Headley.
"We are thrilled to host the Padres at Wolff Stadium in 2009", stated Yarbrough. "The Padres Organization has made a great effort to become a part of the San Antonio community the past two seasons and now they are giving fans the unique opportunity to see a Major League Baseball team in the Alamo City."
The Missions have also officially released the 2009 schedule that has the Missions opening the season on April 9th against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Wolff Stadium. The Missions also will be hosting their July 4th Celebration this season. The day starts off at 5:05 pm as the Missions take on the Naturals and then will be followed by the best fireworks show in town and a live concert by Texas Country Music Legend Robert Earl Keen.
As in the past every Thursday night (13 games; which includes the Padres Exhibition Game) will be a Dollar Night at the Wolff with, Dollar Hot Dogs, Dollar Pizza, Dollar Coca-Cola products and Dollar Beer. Following Every Saturday Night home game in 2009(12 games), the Missions will have a Spectacular Fireworks Extravaganza.
