Perez and Norris Collaborate on Victory

November 19, 2008 - Texas League (TL) Corpus Christi Hooks

IN THE GROOVE - Sergio Perez yielded two hits and struck out three in Scottsdale's 1-0 triumph over the Surprise Rafters on Tuesday. Bud Norris, who features a 1.89 ERA in 12 relief appearances, tossed the final two frames for his first Arizona Fall League save, extending his scoreless streak to 10 innings. Perez stands 1-1 with a 3.52 ERA over seven starts.

Brian Bogusevic is batting .329 with a home run and three RBIs. Drew Sutton, sporting a .327 clip, has totaled nine doubles, seven homers, 24 RBIs and three stolen bases. Chris Johnson has driven in 18 runs and socked a pair of long balls through 24 contests.

This holiday classic is slated to be shown at sundown on Saturday, December 13, as part of the Hooks' Open House.
