Coleman Loaned To Worcester

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, announced today that goalie Gerald Coleman has been loaned to Worcester of the American Hockey League.

Coleman, 23, is 2-1-1 in four starts this season with the RoadRunners and leads the ECHL with a 1.48 goals against average and a .950% save percentage. The Romeoville, Ill. native and fourth-year professional returns to the AHL where he posted an 8-7-1 record with a 2.91 goals against average and a .896% save percentage in 18 games last season with the Portland Pirates.

A seventh-round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Lightning at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Coleman appeared in two games with the Lightning in relief during the 2005-06 season where he registered a 2.77 goals against average and a .882% save percentage. In doing so, he became the first graduate of the National Hockey League's Diversity Program to be drafted and have played in the NHL. Coleman is 39-49-6 in 107 career games with a 3.29 goals against average and a .893% save percentage.

The RoadRunners open a three-game road trip at 8:30 p.m. Saturday when they visit the Las Vegas Wranglers at the Orleans Arena. Catch all the action live on Independent 1310 KXAM beginning with "RoadRunners Countdown" at 8:15 p.m.

Phoenix returns to US Airways Center for a three-game home-stand at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 when they welcome the Las Vegas Wranglers.
