Amerks Players Out In The Community This Week

Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, October 17)... The Rochester Americans will make four appearances in a three-day span this week. The highlight of the week is the kick off of the fourth year of the Amerks' "Reading Power Play."
On Wednesday, October 22nd, Amerks captain and Irondequoit native Rory Fitzpatrick will read to kids, give a hockey demonstration and stress the importance of reading at 7:00 p.m. at the West Irondequoit Public Library (Pauline Evans Branch, 45 Cooper Rd.). The event is the first of 21 reading appearances from October to February.
Also that evening, the Amerks will usher in the second season of their "Pucks and Plates" promotion at The Original Charbroil House in Greece (1395 Island Cottage Road). Right wing Brady Calla and defenseman Michael Caruso will sign autographs at 6:00 p.m. The Amerks will also raffle off a team autographed stick. Fans are encouraged to join the players for a meal as well as get autographs.
That night, Buffalo, NY native and centerman Drew Larman will be out at Lakeshore Ice Arena (123 Ling Rd.) to mingle with young hockey players and meeting fans.
On Monday, October 20th, the Amerks and Knighthawks will hold the next installment of the "Power Play" radio show at The Distillery at 3010 Winton Road South. The show airs every Monday at 6:30 p.m. on WYSL 1040 AM and wysl1040.com.
Guests will include Amerks left wings Karl Stewart and Tanner Glass, and Knighthawks veteran defenseman Pat Cougevan. Fans can attend the show to get autographs and ask their questions. Listeners can also call in at (585) 346-3000.
