Boise, ID - Hawks' third baseman Josh Vitters is named the Northwest League's top prospect by Baseball America.Vitters tied a NWL record with a 26-game hitting streak this summer. He was the only unanimous selection for the league's All-Star team. He finished the year with the 4th best batting average in the NWL (.328), 3rd in hits (85), 1st in doubles (25), 4th in slugging percentage (.498) and 2nd in extra-base hits (32). Vitters' 25 doubles are the second highest total in Boise Hawks history. Matt Curtis hit 29 for the Hawks in 1996.
Shortstop Ryan Flaherty also made the list, checking in at #12.
