West Virginia Outlaws Developing Strong Team

September 19, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
West Virginia Outlaws News Release

Charleston, WV. The ABA West Virginia Outlaw organization is very excited about the talent that has signed up for the club's first open tryout on Saturday, October 4th as they prepare for the upcoming season that begins in December.

The roster shows heavy veteran enrollment with such talent as former West Virginia State University standout guard Wayne Casey and former NBA player and East Tennessee State forward, 6'11" Greg Dennis. The Outlaws also have former WVU standout Lionel Armstead.

Head coach Thomas said, "Having veteran players like those three on your team is a blessing as a coach." The list also includes players like former WVU Tech player Pat Smith as well as two WV State athletes, Berry Smith and Matt Dorsey. Thaddeus Breckenridge, Joshua Moon and 7' Ernest Vickers will also be attending. Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
