SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs president Wayne Long announced today that the team has surpassed 2,000 season tickets sold for the upcoming 2008-09 campaign.

"The response we've gotten from the people of Saint John since we kicked off our current season ticket campaign last month has been overwhelmingly positive," said Long. "We are now very close to our goal of twenty-two hundred season ticket holders for the year, and we hope that the community will continue to provide support for the Sea Dogs as we near what promises to be an exceptionally successful 2008-2009 season for us."

Information on Season Ticket and Flex Packages can be obtained by calling the Sea Dogs' office at (506) 657-3647. Single-game tickets for the 2008-2009 season are on sale now as well.

The Sea Dogs went 4-1 during the '08 pre-season, winning both of their home games by a combined score of 6-2 over P.E.I. and Acadie-Bathurst. Saint John kicks off the fourth regular season in franchise history this coming Friday night when they face the Titan in a 7:00pm contest at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre.

Saint John's home opener will be played on Saturday, September 20 at 7:00pm and will see the Sea Dogs play host to the Val-d'Or Foreurs. All fans in attendance at this game will receive a complimentary rally towel courtesy of Irving Oil and Alpine.
