Former Trenton Thunder Assistant GM reunites with GM/CEO Brad Taylor

Bowling Green, KY- Bowling Green Pro Baseball, the Class-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, today announced that Greg Coleman has been hired as the club's Assistant General Manager/Sales. Coleman spent the last three seasons as the Assistant General Manager of the Double-A Trenton Thunder of the Eastern League. He reunites with Brad Taylor, the Bowling Green General Manager/CEO, who served as the Thunder's General Manager/COO for the last three seasons. During their three years together, Taylor and Coleman helped the local community raise over $500,000 in charitable goods and services.

"He brings a wealth of experience to our organization that will make us stronger, and our ability to work so well together over the last three years will create a seamless transition in combining our efforts for this exciting new venture."

Coleman, 34, has been in professional baseball for 11 years. Prior to joining Trenton, he spent two years (2004-05) as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of the start-up Golden Baseball League in California. Previously, Greg worked for five seasons with the Advanced-A Modesto A's of the California League, where he served as Assistant General Manager, General Manager and Vice President. Under his leadership in 2003, Modesto captured the Bob Freitas Award, which is given annually by Baseball America to recognize franchise excellence in Minor League Baseball. Greg was named the 2002 American Sports Entertainment Executive of the Year. His other professional experience includes a term as the Director of Sales and Promotions for the Double-A Orlando Rays of the Southern League and Director of Marketing for the Daytona Cubs of the Advanced-A Florida State League.

Coleman graduated from Steinert High School in Hamilton, NJ in 1992, and The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ in 1996. Greg and his wife, Shanda, have two children, Kevin (5) and Maggie (10 months).

Opening Day for Bowling Green Pro Baseball in its new, state-of-the-art baseball stadium is scheduled for Friday, April 17, 2009, against the Kannapolis (NC) Intimidators, Class-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Full-Season Tickets are valued at just $595 per seat for all 70 home games per season. Deposits can be made for seating at $100 per seat. If deposits are made online, a team representative will call to confirm the order and will follow up with seat selection and full payment information at a later date.
