CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Ozzie Chavez had a big day at the plate to lead the Huntsville Stars to a 6-2 win over the Lookouts in Friday night action at AT&T Field.

Huntsville jumped off to an early lead in the second on the wings of an Ozzie Chavez two-run shot over the right field wall off of Lookouts starting pitcher James Avery (7-8), who made his first start for the Lookouts since returning from the 2008 Summer Olympics in which he played for Team Canada.

Chattanooga, however, countered in the bottom portion of the second with two runs of their own. B.J. Szymanski began the inning with a single and made his way to third on a subsequent Eric Eymann double. Chris Denove followed with a walk to load the bases. After an Avery strikeout, Michael DeJesus hit a sacrifice fly to left to plate Szymanski. Chris Heisey then hit an infield single to third to put the score at 2-2.

Both teams remained deadlocked until the seventh inning, when the Stars finally broke the ice on a two-RBI double from Brent Krause.

Huntsville added to their lead in the eighth with two more runs. Chavez, once again, accounted for a large portion of the damage, hitting an RBI triple to put the score at 6-2.
