Eskimo fans set new Purolator Tackle Hunger record

At last night's Eskimo game versus Saskatchewan, fans donated 66,080 pounds of food to the Edmonton Food Bank - a new Purolator Tackle Hunger record! Since 2003, Edmonton football fans have helped raise 285,139 pounds of food through the Purolator Tackle Hunger program - the highest amount raised in any CFL city to date.
In return for their donations, fans had the opportunity to receive a souvenir photo with the Grey Cup and enter a draw to win two tickets to the 2008 Grey Cup in Montreal. In addition to the food drive, every time a CFL quarterback gets sacked throughout the regular season, Purolator will donate the equivalent of the quarterback's weight in food to the CFL hometown food bank.
The Eskimos, Purolator and the Edmonton Food Bank thank Eskimo fans for their continued generosity.
