Altoona (56-71) claimed a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning against losing pitcher Robert Ray on run-scoring singles from Jose Tabata (2-for-5, SB, RBI, 2 R) and Romak sandwiched around an RBI ground out by Jim Negrych (4-for-5, 2 RBI, 2 R).
The Curve increased the lead to 4-0 in the top of the fifth inning when Tabata singled, stole second base and scored on Romak's RBI single to center.
Ray (6-5) saw his personal three-game winning streak snapped for New Hampshire (55-72) after allowing four runs on nine hits in five innings. He fanned three.

Melvin Dorta (1-for-5, RBI) knocked in Lerud with an infield single.
