Royals and Jackals Go At It Again in Pre-Season Match-Ups

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced the team's pre-season schedule. The Royals will take on a North Division rival, the Elmira Jackals, in two-game "home-and-home-away-from-home" series. Game One of the pre-season series between the Royals and Jackals will be held at First Arena in Elmira, New York, (155 North Main Street, Elmira, NY, 607-735-9510) on Thursday, October 9, at 7:05 pm. Game Two of the pre-season series will be played at the Body Zone Sports & Wellness Complex (3103 Papermill Road, Wyomissing, PA, 610-376-2100) on Monday, October 13 at 7:05 pm.

Tickets for Pre-Season Game Two, which is to be played at the Body Zone, will go on sale on to Royals' Season Ticket Holders only on Monday, September 8, beginning at 10:00 am at the Royals' main office (645 Penn Street, Third Floor, Reading, PA, 610-898-7825). Tickets for the general public will go on sale on Monday, September 15 at 10: 00 am at the Royals' main office or the Body Zone. Tickets to this pre-season game, all of which are general admission, are strictly limited in availability and cost $8.00 for the general public and $6.00 for Royals' season ticket holders, who must purchase their tickets at the Royals' office in order to receive the special discount price.

The Royals open the 2008-09 regular season against the Elmira Jackals on Friday, October 17, 2008 at First Arena in Elmira, New York. The Royals' home opener is set for Saturday, October 25, 2008, when the Johnstown Chiefs visit the Sovereign Center. Royals' full Season Tickets and Total Choice Flex Plans are now on sale.
