Alan Zatarain Named To Executive Committee Of World Basketball Cup

Indianapolis, IN. Alan Zatarain, Chairman/CEO of the Group ZATCAR S.A. de C.V. has been named to the Executive Committee of the World Basketball Cup (WBC), a tournament featuring the world's best professional basketball teams which will meet in July, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia following a series of Qualifying Tournaments.
Group ZATCAR was created because of the need for an exclusive office to control a growing sports business in Central and South America including image, corporate marketing, sport marketing and to manage its sports teams. The Zatarain name has a 45-year tradition in Mexico and 30 years of experience in global business. The company currently does business in Venezuela, Brazil and is adding other South and Central American countries to its portfolio, including operations in the United Kingdom.
"We are very pleased to have Alan and his wife, Juliette, President of the company, as part of the WBC Executive team," stated WBC Chairman Joe Newman. "They are a very interesting couple, have great influence and are very motivated. Alan is recovering from an accident, and Juliette has filled in and done a remarkable job with a great staff growing their company. We consider ourselves fortunate to have them with the WBC."
Alan is a native of Hermosillo, Mexico. In 2002 he took over as Chairman of Group ZATCAR and leads the 36 divisions of the company and is the head of 9 other companies, all of which are involved with the parent company. "Under Alan's leadership," stated Juliette Zatarain, "our company has grown in many ways. Our goal is to have a major team in virtually every major soccer league by 2015 and we want to grow our business in marketing and production in different sports. This WBC opportunity is one way we hope to achieve this and are proud to have been selected for the Executive Committee of this prestigious event."
The company will be introducing a new name, WIMMD, to handle it's sports and event productions.
