(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced that team mascot Boomer will be a special guest in support of a Troop Supply Drive at Hamilton Imports on Saturday, June 28th from 1-2 PM. Hamilton Imports, Mercer County's Volkswagen and Mazda dealer, is located at 2200 Route 33 in Hamilton Square, New Jersey. All items will be donated to American Recreational Military Services (A.R.M.S), a 501 (c)(3) Public Charity.

The Troop Supply Drive is a call to the community to donate needed items like razors, shaving cream, snacks, wipes, toilet paper, candy/gum, protein bars, cereal bars, mouthwash, lip balm, cereal (small boxes), coffee packets/tea bags, eye moisture drops, toothbrushes, deodorant, tissues, Q-tips, socks (white or green), batteries (all sizes), bug sprays, small powdered drink mixes, medical items (aspirin, vitamins), and foot powder. A.R.M.S. was founded in 2003 by a group of grass roots volunteers who wanted to give something back to the military and their families. In a matter of months, this small organization had grown from just a handful to more than 325 volunteers throughout the tri-state area. Since its founding in 2003, A.R.M.S. has shipped over 200,000 lbs. of good overseas to servicemen and women stationed around the world. Additional information regarding A.R.M.S is available at www.supportarms.org.

The Thunder will begin a three game series against the Binghamton Mets tonight at Waterfront Park in Trenton. The first 1,500 fans ages 6 and over will take home a 2008 Thunder Team Card Set courtesy of Verizon Wireless. There will be a fireworks show following the game on Saturday, June 21st, and the series concludes on Sunday afternoon with a Joba Chamberlain Photo Ball giveaway for the first 1,000 fans, ages 5-15 thanks to Capital Health System. Fans can also check out IHOP's Discover America Road Tour outside the stadium at both Saturday and Sunday's games.
