(LANCASTER, CA) - As part of its tribute to the windy conditions that are prevalent in the Antelope Valley, the Lancaster JetHawks, Class A Affiliate of the World Series champion Boston Red Sox, will discount Reserved Section tickets for all Tuesday home games during the 2008 regular season, based on the wind recording the day before each Tuesday home game. It's an annual JetHawks tradition called "Tumbleweed Tuesday".
The wind speed at Clear Channel Stadium this afternoon was a modest 10 MPH, meaning Reserved Section tickets will cost only $1.00 for this evening's game against the High Desert Mavericks. Tickets are priced at 10-cents for each MPH of wind recorded.
