Angels Pitcher Lackey To Rehab With Quakes
April 22, 2008 - California League (CalL) Rancho Cucamonga Quakes
Rancho Cucamonga, CA- Right-handed starting pitcher John Lackey will begin a rehab assignment with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes starting with tomorrow's game against the Bakersfield Blaze. Lackey, who was selected in the 2nd round of the 1999 Free Agent Draft, is coming off his best year with the Angels in 2007. He went 19-9 with a league leading 3.01 ERA, and 2 complete game shutouts.Lackey is tentatively scheduled to pitch during Thursday's game, and will remain with the team through May 4th.
The Quakes will open a seven-game homestand tonight against the Bakersfield Blaze at 7:05 PM, it will conclude on Monday, April 28th against the Stockton Ports.
