April 18, 2008 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I) - Grand Rapids Rampage News Release
GRAND RAPIDS - Four West Michigan girls will have the opportunity to participate in the Rampage's Junior Rage Clinic this Sunday (April 20) thanks to the generosity of Events by Jessica Ann. Every year, the Jessica Ann Scholarship will help provide young women of color the opportunity to take part in this annual clinic and dance in front of thousands of Rampage football fans.
Among the recipients of the first annual Jessica Ann Scholarship are Ariel Torres-Puente of Wyoming, Caitlyn Tyson of Kentwood, Hope Welch of Grand Rapids and Jailyn White of Kentwood.
The women will join other girls ages three through 14 this Saturday for the Junior Rage Dance Clinic at MVP Sports Spot in Kentwood. The clinic, hosted by the Rage Dance Team, teaches young women several dance routines that they will perform at halftime of the Grand Rapids Rampage's April 25 home game against the Kansas City Brigade.
Events by Jessica Ann hopes to expand the scholarship program in coming years in its continued effort to support young women of color throughout West Michigan.
