Three double-doubles help Stampede win fifth straight going into playoffs

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Stampede finished their regular season with a 119-110 win over the Iowa Energy at Qwest Arena in Boise. The season will be one to cherish in the record books as Idaho eclipsed the D-League record for most wins at home (21) and winning percentage (.720).

Randy Livingston finished the game with his 20th double-double of the season, scoring 17 points and dishing out 16 assists. Jason Ellis and Brent Petway each had double doubles with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 14 points, 10 rebounds respectively. Luke Jackson came off the bench to score a team-high 23 points. While Cory Violette dropped in 16 points, followed by Eric Chenowith who added 12 points.

"I am excited that we finished the season winning five games in row." Stampede Head Coach Bryan Gates said. "We have really been able to build momentum going into the playoffs."

The Iowa Energy were led by center Courtney Sims. Sims ended up with a double-double, scoring 35 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Six players, including Sims, scored in double-figures for Iowa. Jeff Horner had a double-double, pitching in 13 points and 11 assists. Adam Haluska added 18 points, in the loss.

Iowa finished the regular season with a 22-28 record.

Idaho finished the regular season with a 36-14 record and their second consecutive West Division title. They will await the winner of the first round match up in the Western Division between Los Angeles and Colorado. The Stampede face the eventual winner at home on Friday, April 18 for the opportunity to advance to the D-League Championship series.
