American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release

(NASHUA, NH, April 2, 2008) The Nashua Pride is pleased to announce that there will be a special peanut-free seating section at Historic Holman Stadium for the 2008 season. Reserved section 208 will be designated as a peanut-free seating area to accommodate fans who are allergic to the popular ballpark snack.

"We feel this is an important move," said COO Jim Stabile. "We pride ourselves here at Holman Stadium in offering the best in both family and baseball entertainment. Baseball and peanuts have a long history but we understand just how serious a peanut allergy can be. We want to make it easier for those with peanut allergies to be able to sit back and enjoy the action on the field."

Section 208 is located on the third base side near the Kidz Zone. Fans should mention their preference for the peanut free zone upon purchasing their game tickets.

Peanut allergy is a hypersensitivity to dietary substances from peanuts causing an overreaction of the immune system and can affect both young and old. Affects due to exposure can range from gastrointestinal and skin irritation to severe anaphylactic shock. There is no cure for those who are allergic to peanuts, leaving strict avoidance as the only sure defense for sufferers of the allergy.

The Nashua Pride Professional Baseball Club, entering its eleventh season, provides a fun, affordable, community-based and fan-friendly source of sports entertainment. The 2007 Can-Am League Champions will be participating in its third year of play in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball.
