'Caps Transfer Forko To Norwegian Club

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that they have transferred defender Willis Forko to FK Bod-/Glimt of the Tippeliaen - Norway's premier league - for an undisclosed amount.
Forko, 24, joined the Whitecaps in February after playing the last two seasons with Real Salt Lake of MLS. Last year, the five-foot-ten, 167-pound defender started 12 matches for 990 minutes with the Utah-based outfit. In his rookie season, Forko started 26 matches for 2,254 minutes and recorded one assist.
The Whitecaps continue their preseason this Saturday, March 29, when they take on Simon Fraser University at New Westminster's Mercer Stadium. Kick off is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
