Ice Sweep Weekend Series

PTH SUCCESS: The Ice improved to 2-2-0 on "Pack the House Night" and 4-3-3 all-time at Conseco Fieldhouse with a 6-3 victory over the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders Saturday night in front of 12,575 fans. The trio of John Kemp (G, 3A), T.J. Syner (2G, A) and Jake Skjodt (G, 2A) combined for ten points

(4G, 6A) and goaltender Scott Darling turned back 35 shots to complete the weekend sweep of second-place Cedar Rapids. Indiana earned a 2-1 victory Friday night in Cedar Rapids.

FAST AND FURIOUS: John Kemp and Brandon Blandina scored just nine seconds apart in the first period of Saturday's win which became the new franchise record for fastest two goals in a game. The previous record was 12 seconds and was accomplished by Brent Gwidt and Kemp against the Ohio Jr. Blue Jackets on 11/26/06. The USHL record for fastest two goals is five seconds.

ALL-STAR EXPLOSION: Indy's all-star trio of forwards John Kemp, Greg Squires and Paul Carey enter this week first, second and sixth in the USHL in scoring with 56, 55 and 50 points respectively.

More Kemp: League's leading scorer registered his second four-point game of the year and seventh three-or-more point effort in Saturday's win....Has 18 games of three-or-more points in an Ice uniform and with 47 assists is one assist shy of his own all-time Ice mark for helpers in a season.

More Squires: Riding an eight-game point streak (4G, 7A) and has 20 points (6G, 14A) in his last 13 games....Sits second among league leaderboard in points and assists (36).

More Carey: Tallied his 25th goal of the year which ties him with Tomas Klempa (2004-05) for most goals in a season by an Ice player....Carries a five-game point streak into this week's play and is tied for third overall in goals and is first in the league in power play goals (12).

ROCK OF DARLING: Scott Darling stopped 76 of 80 shots in the weekend sweep of Cedar Rapids and is now 9-1-2 with a 1.94 GAA and a .944 SV% in his last 12 starts in net.

TEAM GOSSIP: The Ice has killed off 31 of their opponents' last 33 power play attempts, including 28 in a row at one point....Indy is 9-1-1 in their last 11 games, 20-2-3 at home, 19-5-2 against the East Division and 20-3-5 in one-goal games....T.J. Syner registered his fourth multiple goal game and third three-or-more point game of the year in Saturday's win....Jake Skjodt has posted a three-point effort in two of his last four games.
