IceHogs Pick Up Daoust For Tonight's Game

Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs General Manager Al MacIsaac announced on Thursday that the American Hockey League club has signed winger Jean-Michel Daoust to a PTO. Daoust was loaned to Rockford from the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL).

The Valleyfield, Quebec native currently ranks second in the ECHL in scoring with 40 points in 28 games. Daoust also leads the ECHL with 22 goals. The third-year pro is currently skating in his second season with the Cyclones.

With Daoust, Rockford now has two of the top three ECHL point producers on its roster. On Wednesday, Rockford signed Derek Nesbitt to a PTO. Nesbitt has 39 points with the Gwinnett Gladiators. Last season Daoust had 62 points with Cincinnati a season after notching 65 points as a rookie with the Danbury Trashers (UHL).

Daoust is expected to be with the IceHogs tonight when the club faces off with the Chicago Wolves at the All-State Arena in Rosemont at 7 p.m.
