Canucks re-assign MacIntyre to Moose

December 17, 2007 - American Hockey League (AHL) Manitoba Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have re-assigned goaltender Drew MacIntyre to Manitoba.

MacIntyre, 24, appeared in one game with Vancouver after being recalled on Dec. 11/07. He stopped nine of 11 shots in 27 minutes of relief work Dec. 13/07 at San Jose for his very first career action in the National Hockey League. Meanwhile, in his second season with the Moose this year, the Charlottetown, PEI native has appeared in 16 games this season, posting a record of 11-4-1 with a goals against average of 2.28, and a save percentage of .926. In a season and a half with the Moose, MacIntyre has played in 57 games with a record of 35-16-3 and a goals against average of 2.21 and a save percentage of .923.

MacIntyre was originally drafted by the Detroit Red Wings with their fourth round draft choice, 121st overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
