Warthogs Josh Fallin Named Carolina League Trainer of the Year

WINSTON-SALEM, NC--For the second time in his career, Winston-Salem Warthogs athletic trainer Josh Fallin has been named the Carolina League Athletic Trainer of the Year by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS). Fallin previously won the award in 2005.

Fallin, a New Mexico State University alumnus, now becomes one of 17 league winners to be considered for Minor League Trainer of the Year, which will be announced at the Professional Baseball Winter Meetings in December in Nashville, Tenn.

Fallin recently completed his ninth year in the Chicago White Sox's organization. This season was his seventh with the Winston-Salem Warthogs. In addition, Fallin served as the Carolina League trainer at the 2004 All-Star Game. Fallin also served as an athletic trainer at the Arizona Fall League in 2003. Prior to working for the White Sox, Fallin worked as an intern for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1998.

Fallin and his wife, Brenna, have two daughters: Kaylee and Anna. The Fallins reside in Winston-Salem.
