Breast Cancer Awareness Night This Saturday
August 30, 2007 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Salem Red Sox News Release
The Salem Avalanche would like to remind everyone of the special event going on this Saturday -- Breast Cancer Awareness Night. The players will be wearing pink jerseys which will be auctioned off during the game. The person who bids the highest for the jersey will get the opportunity to go on the field at the end of the game, collect the actual jersey from the player, and get an autograph and picture if they desire. All front office employees we will be showing our support by wearing pink shirts. Please show your support for those who are survivors of breast cancer, currently battling breast cancer, or those whom one day may have to go through the fight. Make sure you wear your pink on Saturday.
Also, Saturday the Field of Dreams team will be made of up Breast Cancer Survivors, if you or someone you know is a survivor we are looking for approximately 8 or more individuals to join the team on the field during the National Anthem. Please contact Jeanne Boester at jboester@salemavalanche.com if this is something you would like to participate in, or please pass this information on to people you know that might like to participate.
