 Sacramento River Cats

With "Magic Number" at ONE, River Cats can clinch Playoff Berth at Raley Field Tonight

August 30, 2007 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Sacramento River Cats News Release

The Sacramento River Cats, who own a 5.0 game lead over the Tucson Sidewinders in the PCL Southern division with just 5 games to play, can clinch their 6th PCL playoff berth in 8 years with a victory tonight over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Fan Appreciation Night at Raley Field (7:05 p.m. game time). The team's "magic number" is one (1), meaning that it would only take one River Cats win OR Tucson loss for Sacramento to clinch. Regardless of whether the River Cats win or lose, the team would also clinch a division crown if Tucson loses to the Portland Beavers in their 7:00 p.m. match-up in Arizona.

Limited tickets for Thursday's game are still available at the Raley Field ticket office, all Ticketmaster outlets or online at Rivercats.com.

WHO: All media are encouraged to attend.

WHEN: Thursday, August 30th. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

WHERE: Raley Field
