Portland, ME - Bryan Pritz homered twice for the first time in his professional career and drove in three runs to pace a 15-hit attack as the Portland Sea Dogs won for the fourth consecutive game, topping the Connecticut Defenders 9-2 before a crowd of 7,214 at Hadlock Field on Friday night.

Pritz capped a six-run fourth inning with a two-run shot. He then blasted a solo homer in the sixth inning. Pritz is hitting .371 with three homers and 17 RBI in July.

Trailing 1-0 in the fourth, the Sea Dogs exploded for six runs off Brooks McNiven (6-4), who entered the night second in the league in ERA. With one out, Chad Spann walked and Andrew Pinckney doubled and Dusty Brown doubled them both home. Cory Keylor and Iggy Suarez followed with run-scoring hits before Pritz drilled a two-out home run.

All nine Sea Dogs starters hit safely in the win and all nine starters either scored or drove in a run. Dusty Brown was 3 for 4 with three RBI and a run scored and Bubba Bell collected two hits and two runs scored for the Dogs.

Michael Bowden (5-4) scattered six hits over 5.2 innings, fanning seven for the victory. The right-hander has allowed only three runs in 15 innings over his last three starts.

Hunter Jones tossed a perfect 3.1 innings to record his first Double-A save. The left-hander has been unscored upon in seven of his last eight appearances, allowing only two runs in his last 15 innings.

NOTES: The Sea Dogs have won four in a row on their eight-game homestand after losing the opener to New Hampshire Monday...Portland is 12-4 since the All-Star Break and 14-4 since a loss to the Fisher Cats July 7th...Clay Buchholz struck out seven over four inning in his third Triple-A appearance for Pawtucket -- he now has 21 strikeouts in 12 innings with the Pawsox...Jed Lowrie added a two-run single in his Double-A debut.
