June 27, 2007 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Nashville Kats News Release

NEW YORK- As announced by the Arena Football League today, Kats WR Kenny Higgins has been named to the 2007 AFL All-Rookie Team.

Higgins was phenomenal in 2007, emerging as one of the league's top receiving threats logging 95 catches for 1,440 yards and 25 touchdowns: all team-highs. His 95 catches were the most in a season by a Kats rookie, the 1,440 yards were the most receiving yards in a season by a Kats receiver and his seven 100+ yard receiving games in 2007 set a new team-record.

What's even more impressive about Higgins' AFL debut is that he was on the team's practice squad the first two weeks of the season before exploding with six catches for 98 yards and three touchdowns in his first AFL game in Week 3. Higgins was also amongst the tops in the league in yards per catch, finishing ranked second in the AFL with 15.2 and first in AFL for players who played in 14 or more games.
