San Diego, CA. The ABA San Diego Wildcats showcased their talents in the Jack in the Box 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Saturday, May 19th and Sunday May 20th at Crown Point. Competing against other players with college and professional experience, the Wildcats continued playing strong as a team dominating the "Elite" division (winning 4-0). On Saturday, Wade Curry was nominated to compete in the Slam Dunk Contest. Showcasing his high jumps and creativity through 360 degree dunks and off the backboard, he received 3rd place.
After winning the Championship, the players hosted a youth basketball clinic for 3rd to 8th grade school children. They taught them basic drills such as shooting, dribbling and passing techniques. Aside from fun and games, the San Diego Wildcats were focused on doing work promoting their upcoming 2007-2008 season. They are anticipating a year of more exciting promotions and events, especially their new Wildcats Youth Basketball camps.
