Columbus Recalls Pineault

Syracuse, NY (March 2, 2007) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled right wing Adam Pineault. The team also announced that they have signed center Joe Cullen to a professional try-out contract.

Pineault, 20, has appeared in 55 games with Syracuse during his rookie professional season. He has registered 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points and 64 penalty minutes. Columbus' second pick, 46th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft, Pineault played one season of college hockey at Boston College in 2003-04 before spending two seasons with the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In 116 career QMJHL games, he tallied 55 goals, 50 assists and 158 penalty minutes.

Cullen, 26, has appeared in 39 games with Dayton this season, tallying 9 goals, 18 assists and 39 penalty minutes. He spent the 2005-06 season with Binghamton, recording 7 goals, 11 assists and 56 penalty minutes in 72 games. In 209 career AHL games with Toronto, Edmonton, San Antonio and Binghamton, Cullen has registered 27 goals, 39 assists and 122 penalty minutes. A native of Moorhead, Minnesota, Cullen was selected by Edmonton in the seventh round, 211th overall, in the 2000 Entry Draft.
