Foxborough, Mass. - The New England Revolution have returned from its preseason trip to Bermuda and will train four days this week at the Dana Farber Field House at Gillette Stadium. This weekend, the team will conduct two "Countdown to Kickoff" tour events, stopping at The Hampshire Dome in Milford, N.H., on Saturday, March 3, and JunglePlex in Plymouth, Mass., on Sunday, March 4. Revs Kickoff "Countdown": The Revs will conduct two more "Countdown to Kickoff" events this weekend. The tour will stop in Milford, N.H., at The Hampshire Dome on Saturday, March 3, before heading to JunglePlex in Plymouth, Mass., on March 4. Registration for the free events begins at 10 a.m., and feature Revolution Academy clinics, giveaways, a soccer skills challenge and the Soccer Celebration inflatables. Andy Dorman, Tony Lochhead and James Riley are scheduled to appear at The Hampshire Dome, while Taylor Twellman, Pat Noonan, Khano Smith and Doug Warren are scheduled to appear at JunglePlex.
Revs Win Twice in Bermuda: The Revolution posted a pair of 3-1 victories last week during its eight-day training trip to Bermuda. On Tuesday, Feb. 20, New England earned a 3-1 victory over the Bermuda National Team behind goals from Andy Dorman and trialist Jorge Ramirez, as well as an own goal. On Thursday, Feb. 22, James Riley and Arsene Oka scored - and the Revs again benefited from an own goal - in the club's 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Tickets to Revs' Season Opener Available: Tickets to the Revs' 2007 home opener against league newcomer Toronto FC, a special soccer event doubleheader also featuring the U.S. Women's National Team against Mexico in an international friendly immediately preceding the Revolution game, are now available. Ticket packages for both games - which also include free parking for the event - start at $32, and are available by calling 1-877-GET-REVS or through Ticketmaster.
Draft Pick Cristman Scores Twice for Under-23s: Revolution draft pick Adam Cristman (fourth round, 48th overall, Virginia) scored both of the U.S.'s goals in the team's 2-2 draw with Rosso Kumamoto in Japan on Friday, Feb. 23. In three total games with the U-23s, Cristman scored three goals, including the game-winning goal against MLS' Chivas USA in a pre-tour game. The Revs' Ryan Solle was also a member of the Under-23 team that traveled for the two-game series in Japan.
Parkhurst to visit to Saco, Maine: Revolution defender Michael Parkhurst will conduct a coaching session with the Saco Soccer Club in Saco, ME on Monday, February 26 from 5-6 p.m.. Parkhurst will take on a coaching role in the club's "Footskill" session, providing pointers for all 170 members of the club. He will also be on hand for pictures and autographs afterwards.
