Anaheim Arsenal News Release

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Colorado 14ers shot 63 percent from the floor in the first half, 58 percent for the game, in a 126-86 victory against the Anaheim Arsenal Saturday night. The 14ers took advantage of their hot shooting from the start, building a 25-point advantage at the halfway mark (62-37).

Von Wafer, the D-League's leading scorer, led the 14ers with 24 points (20.4 ppg on the year). Elton Brown also had a strong outing as he recorded 14 points to go along with 13 rebounds. Brown, who is second in the D-League in rebounding, continues to dominate under the basket. There was a total of seven Colorado players who scored at least 11 points.

"We were very happy with the defense we played tonight," said Colorado head coach Joe Wolf. "Every player we had out there played good defense, and it's a pleasure to see a team that you coach play good defense."

Jawad Williams led the Arsenal in scoring, recording 24 points on the night. Majic Dorsey (eight points) continues to distribute the ball well to his teammates, collecting 11 assists, giving him a double digit number of assists for the third consecutive game. Jamaal Thomas scored 15 for the Arsenal.

"It's tough to win when we are making so many mistakes," said Arsenal interim head coach Reggie Geary. "Being out-rebounded, turning the ball over, and having them shoot 60 percent are all ways to lose a game."

The Arsenal return to action on Friday, February 2 to face the Skyforce in Sioux Falls at 7:00 pm (local time). The 14ers will return home, where they will face the Tulsa 66ers also on February 2nd.

In addition to single-game tickets, season, mini-plan and group packages are still available. For Arsenal ticket information, please call 714-635-2255 or visit www.anaheimarsenal.com.
