LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Baseball is heating up again in Lakewood, as the BlueClaws unveil their 2007 Promotional Schedule, coupled with the seventh annual Phillies Winter Tour on Saturday at the Freehold Raceway Mall.

This year's promotional schedule is highlighted by a series of items honoring the 2006 South Atlantic League Champion Lakewood BlueClaws, several bobblehead dolls, and much more.

On Opening Day, April 5th, the championship banner will be raised, in addition to the annual magnetic schedule giveaway. 2003 BlueClaw Cole Hamels will be honored with his Made the Phillies Bobblehead on May 21st, presented by Smart Carpet & Flooring. May 31st will feature a bobblehead of Dave Huppert holding the 2006 SAL trophy, sponsored by RE/MAX of New Jersey, as the BlueClaws honor their 2006 manager. Finally, Chris Roberson, a 2004 BlueClaw, will have his Made the Phillies Bobblehead night on June 2nd, courtesy of State Farm Insurance.

Fireworks follow every Friday home game, presented by Toyota/Scion World of Lakewood. Every Monday is our Kids Eat Free promotion thanks to ShopRite. Tuesdays are Baseball Bingo and Seniors Eat Free nights courtesy of Commerce Bank. The entire schedule can be found at www.BlueClaws.com.

Returning entertainers include the Phillie Phanatic, who will visit FirstEnergy Park on June 25th and July 30th, as well as the Zooperstars, who will come out June 23rd and July 16th. Professional wrestler King Kong Bundy signs autographs on May 26th, continuing in a tradition that has brought Sergeant Slaughter, George "The Animal" Steele, and Jerry "The King" Lawler to Lakewood. On August 6th, the Famous Chicken returns to FirstEnergy Park courtesy of New Jersey Resources. Additionally, June 3rd will be "Bark in the Park," where fans can bring their dogs to the game, thanks to Camp Bow Wow of Lacey.

The BlueClaws will also be hosting the annual Phillies Winter Tour on Saturday at Freehold Raceway Mall from noon to 1:30. Fans can get autographs from Phils Wes Helms, Ryan Madson, and Matt Smith, as well as new BlueClaws coach and ex-Phillie Kevin Jordan, and get their picture taken with the 2006 South Atlantic League Championship trophy. This event is free and open to the public.

Fans attending the annual Winter Tour at the Freehold Raceway Mall may bring their own memorabilia for autographs but are asked to limit one item per person. Bats, balls and other items will be available for fans to purchase at the event.

The Lakewood BlueClaws are defending South Atlantic League Champions and open the 2007 season April 5, 2007 at FirstEnergy Park at 6:35 p.m.

The BlueClaws have led the league in attendance every year, adding 448,310 fans in 2006. Next season, the BlueClaws will become the fastest team in South Atlantic League and New Jersey baseball history to reach the 3 million fan attendance mark.
