Farmer Returns to Tulsa

TULSA, Okla., Jan. 10, 2007 - The D-League single-season three-point shooting leader, Desmon Farmer, is returning to the Tulsa 66ers after being waived by the Seattle Sonics on Jan. 4.
Farmer played in eight games for Portland, averaging 1.6 points and 1.1 assists. Farmer (6-5, 220) played in 48 games for the 66ers last season, averaging 32.2 minutes, 16.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists. His 113 three-pointers made and 264 three-pointers attempted are both D-League single season records. Farmer takes the roster spot vacated when forward Mustafa Al-Sayaad was waived due to injury.
Most recently, the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets assigned forward Marcus Vinicius to the 66ers. Both Vinicius and Farmer are expected to make their debut this Friday night in Bismarck as the 66ers take on the Dakota Wizards.
