Sahlen's Family Night - Silverbacks Host Razorsharks

Buffalo, NY. The Thruway rivalry continues on Sahlen's Family Night - next Friday, Jan 5th as the Buffalo Silverbacks host the Rochester Razorsharks at Buffalo State College Arena. The Silverbacks are 1-3 against Rochester, the defending ABA Championship team. The last game was a battle down to the end, with Rochester winning by a mere 5 points. Buffalo controlled most of the game, and Antoine Sims managed to put 33 points on the scoreboard. Demond Stewart and James Reaves closed up the game for Rochester with 26 and 23 points respectively.

As part of Sahlen's Family night, youth basketball players from the Elma, Marilla, Whales Boys and Girls Club will play at half time and a special appearance by the Ambassador's Twirling Corps will entertain the crowd. Free gifts and prizes will be awarded throughout the night.

The Silverbacks have won 7 of their past 8 home giving them a 7-7 record and placing them back in the top 20 power rankings for the ABA playoffs and a championship run. This is Buffalo's last time to host Rochester for the regular season and Western NY's last chance this season to witness these rivals battle on the court. Doors open 7:30pm, tip off 8:05pm at Buffalo State College Arena.
