Blanchard Inks Deal for 2007

December 21, 2006 - Intense Football League (Intense) Louisiana Swashbucklers

LAKE CHARLES - After the 2006 season ended, Scott Blanchard moved his family back home to Texas to continue his career in education. However, as the 2007 season unfolded, Swashbucklers owner, Thom Hager called Blanchard and asked him to fill the position as VP of Operations. After some discussion and lots of prayers, Blanchard accepted and signed his 2007 contract.

"All the pieces of the puzzle are coming together this season, though I had no replacement for Scott (Blanchard) when he left town after the season ended", Hager said. "Scott's heart is with his Lord, his family, and football. He is perfect to handle the operations for the Louisiana Swashbucklers since he was an intricate part of this team last year. It would have been difficult to replace him, so I'm thankful he's back on board."

"It is hard to turn down an opportunity like this one to be with a team I love, and personnel I enjoy so much. I hope to build on the success and everything I learned last year. This year the front office is as strong as the team will be. This business is about team work on the field as well as in the office and I am very excited about being apart of it for a third season." Blanchard added.

The Louisiana Swashbucklers kick off their third season on Saturday, April 14, 2007 and look forward to a packed house as they host the 2006 IFL champions, the Odessa Roughnecks. Doors open at 6:00 PM and kick off is at 7:05 PM.

For information on season tickets, call the Swashbucklers' office Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM at 310-PASS (7277). Scaramouche!
