Falcons Set Pre-Season Schedule

September 7, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons announced today that the team will play two pre-season games in preparation for the 2006-07 regular season. Both of the pre-season contests will take place against the Stockton Thunder.

The Falcons and Thunder will meet in Fresno on Friday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. Due to the fact that Save Mart Center is unavailable on that date, the game will take place at Gateway Ice Center, located at 2473 N. Marks Avenue. Falcons' season-ticket holders will be able to attend the game for free. Tickets for non season-ticket holders will be available for $5 on an as-limited basis.

The two teams will play the back end of the series on Sunday, October 15 at 4:00 p.m. at Stockton Arena.

Fresno went 9-0-1 against Stockton last year in the Thunder's inaugural ECHL season. This season, the two teams meet eight times, including three times at Save Mart Center.

The Falcons' Opening Weekend Extravaganza, presented by Carl's Jr., takes place on Friday, October 20 and Sunday, October 22 against the Las Vegas Wranglers. On Opening Night, the Falcons will celebrate their 2006 Pacific Division Championship with a banner-raising ceremony prior to the game. The first 3,000 fans in attendance receive a mini-banner courtesy of Carl's Jr., KSEE 24, and 93.7 KISS Country. Opening Night also features the on-ice wedding of Darrin and Sandee during the first intermission. On Sunday, the first 3,000 fans in attendance receive a 2006-07 Falcons' magnetic schedule, and following the game, fans will have the opportunity to join the Falcons' players on the ice for a post-game skating session.

Season tickets for the 2006-07 season are now available. Guarantee yourself great seats to all 36 action-packed Falcons' home games at Save Mart Center. Ticket packages start as low as $162. For more information on the Falcons' ticket packages, contact the Falcons' office at (559) 485-PUCK.
