D.C. United hosts Second Annual Corporate Cup

Washington, D.C. (August 17, 2006) - On Saturday, August 26, D.C. United will sponsor the D.C. United Corporate Cup. Currently in its second year, the 4-on-4 soccer event is designed for corporations and governmental departments from around the area. The tournament will take place at the D.C. United Training Fields at RFK Stadium before D.C. United's home game against the Los Angeles Galaxy later at 7:30 p.m.

"Last year's event proved to be a great success," said United Sr. Vice President Stephen Zack. "Participating teams are sure to enjoy a great day of soccer, both on the field and in the stands."

The entry fee for the tournament is $1,000 and includes 50 tickets to United's game that night, 10 t-shirts, half-time recognition, the company's name on the public address and scoreboard, a guaranteed three games in the tournament and full marketing privileges on-site at RFK Auxiliary Fields. Additionally, the Corporate Cup winner will receive a fully catered Private Suite at RFK for a future D.C. United game, a ball autographed by the team, a champion's plaque and the company's name on a nameplate on the official Corporate Cup trophy held at RFK.
