Trashers split first two games of Colonial Cup Finals

DANBURY, CT-The Danbury Trashers, proud members of the United Hockey League (UHL), are returning home to the Danbury Ice Arena, as they'll host the Kalamazoo Wings in games 3-5 of the Colonial Cup Finals starting on Wednesday night at 7pm.

Danbury split the first two games last weekend, falling on Friday 6-1 before handing Kalamazoo their first playoff loss with a 4-2 decision in game two of the best-of-seven finals. Sylvain Daigle stopped 47 shots, while Alex Goupil's shorthanded score in the third period proved to be the game-winning goal.

All fans that wear Trashers gear to Wednesday's game will receive a 10 percent discount coupon to Best Buy in Danbury good towards their next purchase.

The Danbury Trashers are seeking to become the first professional hockey team in Connecticut to win a championship since Hartford (AHL) won the Calder Cup in 2000.
