Two right handers join Hoppers pitching staff

(Greensboro, NC) The Florida Marlins announced today right handed pitchers Sandy Rosario and Felix Zabala will join the Grasshoppers as they battle the West Virginia Power in game two of a three game home series.
Acquired as a non-drafted free agent in 2004, Rosario spent the 2004 and 2005 seasons with the Dominican Summer League Marlins. He posted a combined 1.89 ERA in 81.0 innings pitched, striking out 84 batters.
Zabala, a non-drafted free agent in 2004, also spent time with the DSL Marlins in 2005, compiling 3 wins, 14 saves, 39 strikeouts and a 0.78 ERA in 34.2 innings pitched.
Making room for the roster change, left handed pitcher Aaron Thompson and right hander Chris LeRoux have been moved to the Marlins extended Spring Training.
Thompson, a first round draft pick in 2005, allowed 31 hits and a team leading 15 earned runs in 24.0 innings pitched. In five starts, he compiled a 5.63 ERA with a 0-2 record.
Also off to a rocky start, LeRoux was 0-3 in three starts, giving up seven earned runs in 10.0 innings pitched.
