Stars Kids' Appreciation Day Sunday

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars President John Pettit announced today that the Sunday, April 16th, 5:05 PM game against the Houston Aeros is Kids' Appreciation Day at the Iowa Stars, including a 4 for $40 ticket special. Fans can purchase four $21 tickets for just $40.

The first 1,000 kids will receive a plastic egg with the first 500 kids also receiving an Iowa Stars pennant. Inside the plastic egg will be a free Kids' Admission to the Des Moines Aquatic Facility courtesy of the Des Moines Parks & Recreation Center. Some of those eggs will also have an additional special prize!

All throughout the Sunday's game, all kids in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in various activities on the Wells Fargo Arena concourse. Cubbie Bear from the Iowa Cubs and Maniac from the Des Moines Menace will be roaming the concourse. Kids can have their face painted by Bobo the clown and get a balloon animal from Silly Sally the clown. Kids can also participate on various carnival games all along the main concourse.

Throughout the evening, the Stars will be awarding lucky kids in attendance with various prizes such as autographed Iowa Stars, Dallas Stars and Idaho Steelheads merchandise as well as various gift certificates from local businesses.

STARS NEXT GAMES: The Iowa Stars play in Peoria on Friday, April 14th, before closing out the Regular Season at home on Saturday, April 15th and Sunday, April 16th. Doors open for all home games one hour prior to face-off. All ticketing information can be obtained by calling 515-23-STARS or by visiting iowastarshockey.com.
