River Otters Most Recent Game: Saturday, March 25: Danbury 4, Missouri 2

Drew Omicioli scored two highlight-reel goals as the Danbury Trashers defeated the Missouri River Otters 4-2 in front of 3,376 fans at the Family Arena.

The Trashers took an early 1-0 on a power-play goal six minutes into the opening period when Jeff Daw deflected a Kelly Regan shot behind Brenden Cuthbert. Then with one minute left in the first period Drew Omicioli skated through two River Otters players and buried his 40th goal of the season behind Cuthbert. Danbury extended their lead to 4-0 on second-period goals by Omicioli and Alex Goupil with the latter resulting in Cuthbert being taken out of the game in favor of Corey Wogtech. The River Otters got on the board with two minutes left in the second period when Jim Duhart fired home the 492nd goal of his prolific career. Scott Dobben brought the River Otters to within two goals in the final period, but that was as close as they got. Platt made 28 saves in the victory while Cuthbert made 27 saves in defeat.

Komets Most Recent Game: Saturday, March 25: Fort Wayne 6, Rockford 0

Kevin St. Pierre made 30 saves as the Fort Wayne Komets blanked the Rockford IceHogs 6-0 at the MetroCentre. After a scoreless first period, the Komets exploded for three goals in the second period on tallies from Jonathan Goodwin, Andrew Luciuk, and Colin Chaulk. Fort Wayne added three more in the final period on scores by P.C. Druin, Luciuk, and David Hukalo. The game featured 157 penalty minutes including 10 fighting majors.

Most Recent Match-Up: Friday, March 24: Fort Wayne 2, Missouri 1 (Shootout)

Kevin St. Pierre made 29 saves as his Fort Wayne Komets edged the Missouri River Otters 2-1 in a shootout at the Family Arena.

The lone goal in the opening period came when Colin Chaulk gathered a rebound to the side of the net and fired it underneath a sprawled Kevin Reiter for his 23rd goal of the season. The River Otters tied the game in the second period when J.P. Beilsten guided home the rebound of a Tim O'Connell power-play shot. Neither team scored in the final period and the game went into a shootout tied at one. Kelly Miller and Andrew Luciuk scored in the breakaway session while St. Pierre held the River Otters shooters scoreless. Reiter made 32 saves in the loss.

Rockin' Dobben: There's been no slowing winger Scott Dobben since he's joined the River Otters. The skilled forward has fired home four goals and added an assist in five games with Missouri.

Chaulktalk: Always close to the league leaders in scoring, Komets center Colin Chaulk has scored four goals and added four assists in the last ten games. He's amassed nine points in eight games against Missouri this season.
