SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... With the NHL's trade deadline looming at 3:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, three American Hockey League All-Stars found themselves on the move late Wednesday.

The New York Islanders acquired forward Jeff Tambellini and defenseman Denis Grebeshkov from the Los Angeles Kings, plus a conditional third-round pick in 2006, in exchange for forward Mark Parrish and defensemen Brent Sopel.

The 22-year-old Grebeshkov and the 21-year-old Tambellini will join the Islanders in time for Thursday's practice.

Grebeshkov was a first-round pick by the Kings in 2002 and played in the AHL All-Star Classic in 2005 and 2006. He has two goals and 25 assists in 48 AHL games for Manchester this season.

Tambellini was a first-rounder in 2003, and was named to the AHL All-Star Classic as a rookie this season. He ranks fourth among AHL rookies with 25 goals, third with 56 points and third with a plus-17 rating in 56 games for the Monarchs. Tambellini's dad, Steve, was a member of the Islanders' 1980 Stanley Cup championship team.
