Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors host the Victoria Salmon Kings this Friday and Saturday at Rabobank Arena. Puck drops at 7pm and doors open at 6pm on both nights.
On Friday, January 20th, the Condors host Victoria for the first time since the home opener on October 22nd. Courtesy of U.S. Army, the first 2,000 people through the turnstiles will receive a Condors ribbon-style car magnet designed to show support for the Condors and our Armed Forces. Friday's game is also Mercy & Memorial Hospitals and ARRC Technology T.H.I.N.K (Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge) Night, which allows students to earn complimentary terrace tickets to the game through exceptional academic performance.
Sponsored by KUZZ 107.9 and National Staffing, the first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Condors cap on Saturday. They will have their choice between the Oildale mesh trucker-style or the Rosedale sergeant/kurtz-style cap. The first style to run out will be declared the winner. So come out early and represent your town!
Rappers King Mark featuring St. Patrick will perform their song "Hat Trick" during the first intermission. "Hat Trick" is on the Growing Up Fighting: Bakersfield Hockey Vol. 1 compilation album.
On Friday, defenseman Nate Metcalf and forward Andrew Ianiero will be signing autographs after the game at the Holiday Inn Select Autograph Booth located behind section 108. Visit Mike Hofstrand and Scott Balan at the booth on Saturday after the game.
Check out the Holiday Inn Select's Q Street Lounge on Thursday, January 19th to see the Coach's Show live. Join the "Voice of the Condors" Devin Rossiter, Condors Head Coach Marty Raymond and players Kevin Kotyluk and Chris Hodgson from 6pm to 7pm. The Coach's Show can also be heard on KGEO AM 1230. The Holiday Inn Select is located at 801 Truxtun Avenue.
To bring out a group of 20 or more fans, contact the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825) for special pricing. Individual game tickets are now on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena box office, which is open 10am - 6pm Monday through Friday and 10am - 4pm on Saturdays with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 322-2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.
All games, home and away, can be seen online through B2 Networks, accessible via www.bakersfieldcondors.com, and can be heard live on KGEO Hot Talk AM 1230 with "Condors Countdown" starting 15 minutes prior to face off.
