Bears rally from three goals down, but fall to Syracuse in a shootout

Jakub Klepis scored the game-tying goal in the third period to force overtime, but the BEARS fell Saturday night in a shootout 5-4.

The Crunch built up a 4-1 lead midway through the second period, but HERSHEY rallied with three straight goals to earn a standings point. Tomas Fleischmann scored his fifth goal of the season at 10:55 of the second period, Eric Fehr scored his 10th at 3:24 of the third with Klepis tying the game at 6:15. Frederic Cassivi, who relieved Kirk Daubenspeck to begin the second period, took the hard-luck loss.

The BEARS host first place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m.
