Grizzlies' winning streak snapped

Boise, Idaho - The Utah Grizzlies saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end Friday night in a 7-4 loss to the Idaho Steelheads. Garett Bembridge had three goals and three assists to pace Idaho in the win.

The Grizzlies quickly fell behind 2-0 in the first period, with goals from former Grizzlies David Barauk and Mike Stutzel, 7:28 into the opening frame. The Grizzlies answered at 9:01 of the first period with Anthony Battaglia picking up an Idaho turnover and feeding Garret Cameron for his fifth goal of the season.

In the second, Idaho ran Utah netminder Justin Eddy from the game with two quick goals to start the period, as the Steelheads took a 4-1 lead.

The third period went back and forth with the Grizzlies never able to get over the hump. Utah cut the Idaho lead to two three separate times; with goals from Ryan Kinasewich, Jeff Miles and James Laux.

Ryan Kinasewich (1goal, 1 assist), Garett Cameron (1 goal, 1 assist), James Laux (1 goal, 1 assist) and Anthony Battaglia all had multi-point nights for Utah who dropped to 11-4 on the season.

The Grizzlies and the Steelheads will face off again in Idaho on Saturday, November 26, at 7:10 p.m.
