Mike Jarmuth returned to Trenton

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have returned defenseman Mike Jarmuth on loan to the ECHL's Trenton Titans. Jarmuth is expected to be in the line-up for Trenton's home game against the Reading Royals tonight then rejoin the Sound Tigers for a three-game-in-three-night weekend this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Jarmuth has one assist and two penalty minutes in seven AHL games with the Sound Tigers this season. The 23-year-old 6'0'' 205-pounder from Monkton, Ontario signed with the Sound Tigers this past summer, attended training camp with the Islanders and Sound Tigers this fall and was loaned to the Titans on October 3rd but was recalled on October 12th before he appeared in an ECHL game.

Jarmuth posted 13 goals, 23 assists, 36 points and 24 penalty minutes in 72 games with the ECHL's Mississippi Sea Wolves last season earning a berth on that league's All-Rookie Team. He also had two assists and two penalty minutes in eight games with the United Hockey League's Kalamazoo Wings at the end of the 2003-04 season after completing his four-year (2000-04) collegiate career at Western Michigan University of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. Jarmuth totaled 13 goals, 56 assists and 69 points in 143 career games at Western Michigan.

The Sound Tigers will visit the Philadelphia Phantoms this Friday at 7:05 p.m. and the Springfield Falcons this Saturday at 7:05 p.m. They will return home to host the Lowell Lock Monsters this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. on a Slapshot Sunday and Storm's Birthday.
